What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, shoppers, tenants, and client representatives by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail mall location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, lost children reports, and property damage notifications.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout common areas, interior corridors, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Perform access control and observe visitor traffic at designated entrances, service corridors, and loading areas in accordance with post orders.
• Monitor and operate security-related systems such as CCTV and alarm panels when assigned, and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Provide visible presence and customer assistance, including giving directions, helping reunite parties, and de-escalating conflicts when possible.
• Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and promptly report hazards, suspicious activity, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Support tenant and property management requests when appropriate, including escorts, after-hours checks, and coordination with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Enforce site-specific rules and policies in a professional manner, including addressing loitering, unauthorized access, and prohibited behaviors in public areas.
• Participate in required training, briefings, and post inspections, and follow Allied Universal and site-specific procedures for radio use, uniform standards, and confidentiality.

Minimum Requirements:

• - A guard card/license is preferred.
• - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• - A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
