As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated shelter locations, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide reassurance to those on site. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as they arise, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or address potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols within the location.
• Communicate professionally with shelter staff, residents, and visitors to support a welcoming environment while maintaining security-related protocols.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
