Job Description

As a Security Officer - Office Park Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will complete routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related issues, and assist tenants, guests, and staff with clear communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical-related calls, disturbances, and/or property-related concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, parking areas, building entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and assist with directing visitor traffic, verifying credentials when required by site policy, and/or notifying property management of access concerns.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or maintenance issues, and communicate findings to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Complete detailed daily activity logs and incident reports, and maintain accurate documentation per Allied Universal and site requirements.
  • Use two-way radios, phones, and/or other communication systems to coordinate with property staff and respond to service calls.
  • Assist with security-related checks of doors, gates, elevators, and/or loading areas, and report irregularities for follow-up.
  • Support emergency and/or evacuation procedures as directed by site policy, including assisting with crowd movement and coordinating with responding public services.
  • Follow all Allied Universal policies and customer instructions while maintaining a professional presence and respectful interactions at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
