Job Description

As a Security Officer - Media Front Desk in Morrisville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site visitors, employees, contractors and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Staff the front desk and serve as the first point of contact for a technology office setting, greeting visitors, answering general inquiries and directing traffic to the appropriate destination.
  • Manage visitor processing, including verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, maintaining visitor logs and coordinating host notifications according to site procedures.
  • Monitor access points and lobby areas for unusual activity and report concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Answer and route phone calls and/or messages, provide basic directions and support a professional front-of-house experience.
  • Operate access control and related systems as assigned, including requesting assistance for badge issues, lost credentials and/or access discrepancies per site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Document activities, incidents and service requests in written logs and incident reports, including times, actions taken and notifications made.
  • Support client-specific administrative tasks tied to the front desk, such as handling deliveries, coordinating meeting room visitor flow and/or maintaining sign-in materials per post orders.
  • Participate in briefings, comply with post orders, and assist with site drills and/or emergency procedures as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
