As a Security Officer - Mall Roving Driver in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and support a welcoming customer experience through clear communication and quick response to security-related concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under the Allied Universal driver policy. Position Type: Part Time, with the ability to pick up additional shifts. 

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and customers by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor for suspicious or unusual activity such as loitering, disorderly conduct, or policy violations, and notify management and/or appropriate responders as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance to customers and staff as appropriate.
• Assist with access control at designated entrances, helping to verify authorized entry after hours and/or during restricted operations per site procedures.
• Observe and report potential theft indicators and/or operational concerns to store leadership and Allied Universal supervision, following reporting requirements.
• Complete incident reports, shift logs, and other required documentation in a timely, accurate manner.
• Support customer concerns such as lost and found inquiries, escorts when requested, and de-escalation of customer disputes in line with site procedures.
• Operate communications equipment and follow radio protocols to coordinate with site representatives and/or responding personnel.
• Follow all Allied Universal policies, client instructions, and training requirements, including participation in drills and response activities when directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
