Job Description

As a Security Officer - - Distribution Center - Full Time  in Palmetto, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support visitor and employee badge processes, assist with screening activities, and use a computer and/or tablet to document observations and communicate updates. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse floors, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Control access for employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by verifying identification, checking credentials, and maintaining entry and exit logs.
• Monitor inbound and outbound truck and trailer activity, including checking seals when directed, observing dock door status, and reporting irregularities per post orders.
• Perform roving checks of doors, gates, and restricted areas; report unsecured points, damaged barriers, and other security-related concerns.
• Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV and alarm panels when assigned, and report suspicious behavior and/or system issues.
• Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
• Communicate with site leadership, drivers, and Allied Universal supervision to coordinate responses to alarms, disturbances, and service requests.
• Support emergency procedures such as fire alarms, severe weather, medical calls, and evacuations as directed by post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Have X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
