Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Unit in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with the public, respond to situations as needed, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual or suspicious behavior and report findings according to site protocols.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and/or identification as necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by site policy.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and first responders as needed during emergencies or incidents.
• Operate communication devices to stay in contact with Allied Universal management and other team members.
• Follow all firearm handling and use protocols specific to the post and location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or armed guard license.
• Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
