Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Security Clearance in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a high-tech aero and defense location as an armed, driving patrol officer. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to alarms and incidents, and provide clear, professional communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with site contacts, and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access at gates, lobbies, and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, checking credentials, and directing visitors to appropriate locations per site policy.
  • Operate screening and inspection processes as required, including checking vehicles, packages, and/or deliveries for prohibited items in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and/or other security-related systems and report irregular activity per post orders.
  • Maintain awareness of restricted areas and support compliance with access requirements for controlled spaces, including checking badges and/or escorts when required.
  • Write clear, timely reports of daily activities, inspections, incidents, and/or observations using required formats and systems.
  • Coordinate response with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed, while maintaining post coverage and following escalation protocols.
  • Carry and maintain assigned duty equipment per licensing, training, and post requirements, including conducting required checks and documenting status.
  • Support incident scene control by establishing controlled perimeters, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and preserving conditions for follow-up review.
  • Participate in drills, briefings, and post-specific training to maintain readiness for site incidents and/or emergency conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Certification is required for Texas only.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
