Allied Universal Technology Services® is hiring a Service Technician to drive our mission of being the world's most trusted service provider. The technician will perform service, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on access control systems and IP-based video equipment, including electrified/non-electrified locks, card readers, IP/analog cameras, intercoms, video recorders, and wired/wireless systems.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT AS A SECURITY INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN II:

  • Travel to commercial client sites to service, identify, repair, troubleshoot, and detect access control equipment and IP-based video security systems. Including but not limited to:
    • Electrified/non-electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices
    • IP/analog cameras, head-end video recording devices
    • Wired/wireless systems and intercom systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues efficiently and effectively to ensure company compliance, standards and building codes, as well as company safety policies and procedures
  • Install, program and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients (door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, ect.)
  • Supervise Installation Technician I’s on a job as assigned by the Installation Manager
  • Run electrical wiring; related activities to include drilling, trenching, and aerial runs
  • Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment and security software installation

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVES):

  • Minimum of three (3) years of field experience in the electronic security industry installing and troubleshooting access control, video management and intrusion detection solutions
  • Ability to be on-call on a rotational basis
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a company issued vehicle
  • Possession of state specific licensing or ability to obtain and hold license once hired
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast based environment with minimum direction
  • Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal & external customers
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to complete time entry from home on a daily basis via the Internet
  • Ability to deliver product familiarization training to end-users

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Highly skilled in the electronic security industry
  • Manufacture Certifications with any of the following: Software House, CCURE, Genetec, Lenel, S2, AMAG, Brivo, Avigilon, Milestone, Exacqvision, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP
