About this role
We have a new opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Street Pricing Motor Unit.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable data processing and integration
- Data preparation and maintenance development
- Support the development and updating of unit reports
- Design, deploy and monitor Machine Learning models for Motor pricing
- Ensure that machine learning models adhere to regulatory and compliance standards, implementing necessary checks and documentation
- Collaborate with other Business Units to define technical specifications and requirements for data solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and objectives
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KEY SKILLS
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Physics or equivalent
- Previous experience of 3-5 years as Data Engineer/Scientist or similar role in Insurance field, familiarity with Motor business would be an advantage
- Strong experience with Machine Learning models development in Python (scikit-learn, Optuna, XGBoost, LightGBM, etc)
- Strong experience with SQL and PySpark for Big Data processing
- Proficiency in MLOps tools and practices
- Experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure or similar)
- Experience with orchestration tools (Apache Airflow or similar)
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or similar)
- Knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics would be a strong plus
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel and Power Point
- Proactive and innovative attitude in constantly improving tools and approaches to be market leading
- Great curiosity in order to create an overall vision
- Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken)
