About this role

What you do

  • Assist in planning and executing audit engagements across various business areas, including underwriting, claims, finance, sales, and IT.
  • Support audits in line with International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (IIA Standards), regulatory requirements, and Allianz Group policies and functional rules.
  • Participate in assessing internal controls, risk management practices, and governance frameworks, helping identify gaps and propose improvements.
  • Contribute to data-driven audits by preparing and analyzing information using available tools.
  • Draft clear and concise working papers and assist in preparing audit reports for senior management.
  • Collaborate with team members and business stakeholders to address audit observations and track remediation progress.
  • Take part in initiatives to improve audit processes, including digitalization and methodology enhancements.

 

What you bring

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, IT, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (CIA, CISA, ACCA) or progress toward them is an advantage.

Experience

  • Up to 2 years of experience in internal/external auditing, risk management, or related fields.
  • Exposure to financial services, insurance, or banking sectors is a plus.
  • Interest in IT audits, cybersecurity, or data analytics is desirable.

Skills & Competencies

  • Basic understanding of audit principles and risk assessment techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Familiarity with MS Office; knowledge of audit or analytics tools (e.g., TeamMate, PowerBI) is a plus.
