The Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Helper assists mechanics in maintaining and repairing airport service equipment. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals who are eager to learn and grow in the aviation services industry. AGI provides on-the-job training, advancement opportunities, and safety incentive bonuses.
As an AGI GSE Helper, you will:
- Assist mechanics with repairs and troubleshooting on gas/diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and more.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and cleaning equipment.
- Help track and document preventative maintenance schedules for equipment.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace, ensuring tools and parts are readily available.
To be an AGI GSE Helper, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Be able to obtain airport security clearance, including a thorough 10-year background check.
As an AGI GSE Helper, you must be able to:
- Lift up to 50 pounds (23 kg) regularly.
- Climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop for extended periods.
- Work outdoors in all types of weather and around machinery noise.
This role offers a chance to learn from experienced mechanics and gain valuable skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Airlines operate 24/7, so flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.
