Animal Emergency Center of Yorktown, Virginia is GROWING! We are looking to add an emergency veterinarian to our awesome veterinary team! Our ideal veterinarian candidate would be open to working nights and weekends. Weekday shifts are 5:30pm to 8am. Both day and overnight shifts are available on the weekends.

At our state-of-the-art emergency and critical care hospital, we care for small animals and some exotic pets. We offer laser therapy, hospitalization, bloodwork (Abaxis blood machine), and most emergency surgeries. Our facility is equipped with everything you need to provide top-tier emergency care:

  • Advanced imaging and diagnostic tools
  • Digital x-ray and ultrasound
  • In-house pharmacy and lab
  • Fully equipped surgical suites

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership position where you’ll guide the development of our after-hours emergency care. 

You’ll provide essential emergency medicine to patients when they need it most, all while working with a talented support team and helping shape the protocols and flow of this beautiful hospital.

Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university

Current DEA License or obtained upon hire

Active Veterinary State License 

USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire
