Lean Technician

Operational Excellence is a key part of our business. Reporting to the Lean Specialist, a Lean Technician is responsible for supporting continuous improvements at this facility. They will use a variety of tools through daily management initiatives and improvement activities.

What You Will Do:

  • Continuously learn and apply applicable Lean tools to drive a culture of change.
  • Support improvements; plan, support, participate, and facilitate.
  • Build, move and modify workstations as required.
  • Work with Lean Specialist to train and coach other employees on lean tools and processes.
  • Assist with problem solving.
  • Other duties as identified by the Value Stream Coach and Lean Specialists to further the site’s objectives.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Able to use basic hand tools and read a tape measure
  • Able to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods of time in a manufacturing environment
  • Desire to lead
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Flexible - Breaks, lunch, hours, and tasks
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Team oriented, but also able to work independently
  • Productive and organized
  • Good reading and comprehension skills
  • Basic math skills
