Job Summary

The CAD Designer is responsible for creating technology plans for hotels and multi-dwelling units, which show low voltage cabling, and the various technology systems offered by Allbridge overlayed over existing architectural, interior design or electrical plans. The designer will primarily use AutoCAD, Bluebeam and occasionally REVIT to generate these plans as well as the building equipment schedules for the property’s technology systems. This role reports to the Vice President of Property Technology Solutions. 

 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  

  • Part-time temporary role expected to be 25 hours per week for a duration of 3-5 months
  • Assist Lead design team on LowVoltage Technology Plans in AutoCAD 2020 
  • Utilize AutoCAD and backgrounds provided by architects and interior designers to locate low voltage cabling (CAT6A, RG6Q,Fiber) and technology systems i.e., operations and applications, network, guest experience, audio visual experience and building automation 
  • Track a project’s lifecycle using SmartSheet 
  • Participate in owner, architect and consultant planning meetings 
  • Participate and contribute during OAC meetings via web 
  • Provide feedback to architects and interior designs on technology requirements 
  • Respond to requests for information (RFIs) 
  • Prepare specification books in Word 
  • Assist Lead design team in creating change logs and change narratives for plans
  • Consistently integrates Allbridge’s core values into their everyday habits by treating all customers, internal and external, professionally, honestly and respectfully 
  • Accepts ownership and accountability of position responsibilities and strives to deliver results for customers that establish high standards, credibility and quality performance  

  

Required/Desired Qualifications   

  

  • 5 years of experience using CAD software
  • Must have experience working in Procore, ACC, and other building planning software.
  • Prefer Associate’s degree
  • Must possess intermediate to expert level experience in AutoCAD 2020 
  • Must possess basic to intermediate experience in Revit 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • An abundance of patience to see a complicated project to the end 
  • Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner 
  • Comfortable with sitting for long periods of time 
  • Ability to work as part of a team with strong collaboration skills
