Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting, to maintain cleanliness throughout the building.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures, regularly to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins throughout the building and dispose of waste in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and restroom amenities as needed to ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Inspect facilities for damage, vandalism, or safety hazards and report any issues to the appropriate personnel for repair or maintenance.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down equipment and furniture for events, meetings, and other activities.
- Sweep and shovel snow from sidewalks and entryways during inclement weather to ensure safe passage for employees and visitors.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries, including the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Collaborate with other custodial staff and building managers to prioritize tasks and address specific cleaning needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager or Building Supervisor to support the overall operation of the building.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy objects, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening as required by company policies.
