Job Description:

Reporting to the Chair, Information and Communications Technology – SSN, the Student Program Assistant provides support to students in various subjects.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Supports students as required (could include) one on one or group support in programs within the Faculty of ICT-SSN;

  • Provide workshops to students to enhance their learning;

  • Supports Faculty in troubleshoot issues and applied learning;

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 Year Diploma or Equivalent in Computer Systems Technician, Computer Programming, or related IT field; 

  • Bilingualism – English and French (spoken and written) (level C)

  • Minimum two (2) years experience in various ICT fields.

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Collaborative

  • Demonstration of ability to support or impart knowledge of the material to support students

This position requires on-site work at Algonquin College's Woodroffe (Ottawa) Campus.

This position is paid at Payband 6- Technician B
