About this role

Product Owner - OneIMS

Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

In Sales & Service Value Stream (VS), we work in accordance with the SAFe methodology because we believe it adds extra value to our stakeholders and to the receivers of our efforts. We strive to keep the end users and their daily work in mind. We are looking for someone who can smoothly move between the big business picture and the details of software development. This why we are looking for YOU, our next Product Owner – OneIMS (International Marine Service) to bring value and support in shaping VS Sales & Service success.

About the job

As a Product Owner, you will be bridging the gap between the product manager, business stakeholders, and the development team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive refinement of work items to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain and prioritize development backlog and ensure deliveries according to commitments for development, rollouts, or support.
  • Stakeholder management and collaboration across value streams and Marine business.
  • PI planning participation: define stories, provide clarification, set team PI objectives together with the team and prepare for system demo.
  • Responsible for securing training and adoption of solution (together with product manager)
  • Optimize the team performance, together with Scrum master and Line manager, by sharing best practices.
  • Provide input to line manager on supplier performance/KPIs.

What you know.

You have a solid understanding of complex IT solutions and product management. You bring 2-4 years of experience from a Product Owner or Scrum master role and are therefore fluent in Agile development methodologies. Knowledge in MS D365 field service customization and configuration are appreciated but not a requirement. As part of a global organization, speaking and writing English is a prerequisite.

Who are you?

We believe you are a person who enjoys working in the border between IT and business where you can “translate” business language to IT language and vice versa. You stand out with your ability to lead self and others in a challenging environment while maintaining a positive attitude. You possess a strong business acumen, analytical skills and customer centric mindset which provides you with the right skillset to solve complex challenges. We trust you are a true networker that can easily build and maintain fruitful relationships. In addition, you are a team player always ready to support when needed.

What’s in it for you?

We offer a challenging position in a global, open, and friendly environment. Your work will have a true impact on Alfa Laval’s future success. The nature of the job also means that you will cooperate closely with many different parts of our organization, building both a broad business knowledge as well as a global network of colleagues. You can expect around 10-20 days of travel annually.
