Sr. Associate, EFA Management

As a Sr. Associate, EFA Management supporting the EFA team, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, maintaining accounts, and acting as a key business partner to the Surgical Business Planning and Analysis (BPA). You will be the main contact with the EMEA EFA Center of Excellence and handle monthly and quarterly reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Apply accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports, including balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements, and consolidate financial statements
- Compile and analyze financial information to record transactions, verify accuracy, and ensure adherence to accounting and auditing policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Design, modify, implement, and maintain accounting systems for financial transaction recognition
- Prepare technical accounting and financial reporting position papers for review
- Provide support to the Surgical BPA and work closely with the Surgical Unit, preparing monthly and quarterly reports and KPIs, and acting as the main contact with internal stakeholders
- Provide accurate data to the EFA Committee, monitor contract performance, and coordinate with Business Unit (BU) management on actions for under-performing contracts
- Work with the Surgical unit, customer service, and logistics to resolve minor conflicts
- Coordinate with Financial Reporting and Analysis (FRA), BPA, and BU for proper revenue recognition and liaise with FRA Record to Report (R2R) for timely EFA month-end closing tasks
- Implement and interpret EFA-Finance related corporate policies, develop local procedures, and support improvement and streamlining of management reporting processes
- Coordinate Business Partnering with other business areas for accurate information gathering and support and improve business case proposals, profitability tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Finance, Administration, or related)
- English intermediate
- Excel intermediate
- 1-2 years of experience in Accounts receivable, customer service, or related.
