This role is part of Alcon's Finance, Accounting, & Audit function, a team that advances Alcon's financial strategy and ensures fiscal responsibility as we transform the eye care industry.
The Associate, Accounting & Reporting (Professional Path), is primarily responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting financial statement preparation. You will apply your specialized knowledge to perform tasks and achieve objectives, supporting project goals through effective task completion. Specifics include:
• Calculate and post business/financial transactions accurately
• Verify figures and reconcile discrepancies in financial records, including balance sheet reconciliations and reviews
• Support the preparation of financial statements and assist with period-end closing and reporting activities
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and standards
The Associate, Accounting & Reporting, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting financial statement preparation. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with at least 2 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, who is eager to grow within a global organization.
You will apply your specialized knowledge to perform tasks and achieve objectives, supporting project goals through effective task completion.
Collaborate with business to make sure that all the invoices, expenses are booked and payments executed giving instructions to the accounting company
Verify figures and reconcile discrepancies in financial records, including balance sheet reconciliations and reviews.
Support the preparation of financial statements and assist with period-end closing and reporting activities.
Ensure compliance with Alcon’s accounting policies, IFRS standards, and internal controls.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
