About the Role

Alcoa has opportunities for enthusiastic, proactive, and experienced All Round Mining Operators at our Willowdale Bauxite Mine located south of Perth near Waroona.

Work close to home in a hands‑on role operating heavy mobile equipment. Be part of a supportive team that champions safety, teamwork and growth. All experience levels encouraged—your attitude and commitment to safety matter most

This role offers . . .

  • No night shift! 3 days on, 1 day off, 3 on and 7 off (12-hour days). Working an average 36-hour week.

What you can bring to the role

  • Experience operating any of the following equipment: Komatsu PC3400 & PC2000 Large Excavator, CAT 993 Loader, D10 & D11 Dozer, CAT 16 & 18 Grader, CAT 637 Scraper and Dump Trucks.

  • Hands-on experience with HP GPS and Trimble systems (desirable)

  • Demonstrated commitment to a ‘safety first’ culture

  • Self-motivation to work semi-autonomous in a small dynamic team

  • Problem solving ability and good initiative

  • A strong team focus where you support and encourage your crew

  • WA manual drivers’ licence

About the Location

Willowdale is one of our two bauxite mines in Western Australia, and is located in the Darling Scarp east of Waroona and Cookernup. It supplies bauxite ore to the Wagerup Alumina Refinery via a direct overland conveying system and helps to produce almost half of Australia’s alumina and approximately 19 per cent of Australia’s aluminium.
