Job Purpose

  • Responsible for achieving annual targets for RV, NSV, CM, OD%, and new customer acquisition as agreed with the SMPS for the assigned territory.
  • Manages all key sales management activities within the territory.
  • Ensures effective discount management in line with company policies.
  • Oversees debtor control to maintain healthy receivables and credit discipline.
  • Handles project customer account reconciliation and resolves related discrepancies.
  • Drives business conversion from competitors to increase market share.
  • Identifies and adds new projects within the assigned territory.
  • Addresses and resolves overall market and territory-level issues under the guidance of the SMPS.
  • Collaborates closely with the SMPS to align territory execution with business objectives.
  • Depending on business requirements, manages and guides support staff such as:
    Sales Promoters
    Project Sales Executives (CWF)

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with key B2B customers including architects, builders, contractors, consultants, and project management firms.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups and client visits to ensure continuous engagement and business development.
  • Ensure timely sales and on-time collections, maintaining zero overdue payments beyond the approved credit days.
  • Identify, track, and convert project opportunities in government, private, residential, and commercial segments.
  • Work closely with the Specifications/Projects team to support all ongoing and targeted projects.
  • Provide accurate product recommendations, paint estimations, costings, discount structures, and quotations based on project requirements and competitive market conditions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring error-free order processing, timely delivery, and quick resolution of issues related to orders, payments, or discounts.
  • Maintain strong rapport with all stakeholders to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop technical expertise in paint products, application procedures, and surface preparation.
  • Take complete ownership of customer complaints within the assigned area and coordinate with R&D, Technical Services, and Customer Contact Center to ensure closure within the agreed Turnaround Time (TAT).
  • Actively gather insights on competitor activities including pricing, discounts, product launches, schemes, and promotional campaigns.
  • Share timely reports and recommendations with the manager to help develop competitive strategies and improve market share.
  • Build strong relationships with builder associations, architect bodies, contractor networks, and interior designer groups to ensure a continuous pipeline of project leads.
  • Participate in industry events, product demos, and contractor meets to enhance brand presence.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, corporate governance, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards.
  • Uphold company values and maintain ethical conduct in all customer interactions.

Experience

  • 2-3 years of sales experience preferably in Project Sales Executives/SPs .

Education

  • Bachelors degree from reputable institute
