About this role

AkzoNobel Adhesives in Kristinehamn has since 1962 developed, produced, marketed, and distributed wood adhesives and resin systems for furniture, flooring and constructions. AkzoNobel Adhesives is mainly a production site where employees work in various roles such as, process operators, logistics operators, service operators and supporting functions within R&D, Engineering, Quality and Customer Service. From the site in Kristinehamn adhesives and resins are delivered to customers all over the world.

What will you do? 

In this role, you provide technical service and expert advice in the field of adhesives, supporting both customers and internal stakeholders. You work hands-on with adhesive systems and machinery, ensuring reliable operation, continuous improvement, and high customer satisfaction. Acting as a technical partner, you collaborate closely with development, application technology, sales, and production teams—locally and across Europe—to solve problems, introduce new solutions, and support customer productivity. 

 

  • Provide application support and technical consulting for customers on adhesive systems and machine solutions 
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair of AkzoNobel technical equipment (Hard and Software), such as dosing and application systems, all intelliCURE components, as well as customer training 
  • Regular maintenance of AkzoNobel machines and equipment 
  • Develop and implement technical solutions, including trials and introductions of new adhesive systems at customer sites 
  • Handle technical complaints and prepare reports in close cooperation with laboratory, production, and machine departments 
  • Monitor market and technology developments and actively share knowledge across European technical service teams 

 

This is a permanent position with preferred start date as soon as possible. You will have a home office and report to Technical Services Manager Adhesives. 
 

Who are you?

You are a technically skilled and customer-oriented professional who enjoys working independently while collaborating in international teams. With a structured approach and strong problem-solving mindset, you are comfortable working both on-site and in cross-functional environments. You communicate clearly, value safety and standardized processes, and are motivated by continuous improvement. To succeed in the role, we believe you have: 

 

  • Education in an industrial or technical field. Experience in Wood working industry is an advantage. 
  • Strong technical understanding combined with good IT skills (e.g. Word, Excel) 
  • Electrical background is an advantage.  
  • Fluent in Swedish and good written and spoken English 
  • Independent, systematic working style and a strong sense of responsibility 
  • Willingness to travel within Nordics and work as a team player in an international setting
