Job Purpose

Lead the supply planning team to establish and achieve supply, distribution, production, capacity and inventory plans in conjunction with demand plans and manufacturing processes to meet the business needs of the manufacturing site. Will execute the inventory strategy to deliver customer service goals and ensure that capacity plans are followed to support the demand plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the supply team of up to five (5) employees with responsibility for training, motivating, evaluating, and ensuring successful completion of required tasks.
  • Execute an effective and timely Supply Planning process for all material types (raw/pack, traded, intermediate and finished goods) that include supply model design, distribution, production, and materials/capacity/inventory planning for a rolling twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) month time period.
  • Define strategies to ensure accurate customer order fulfillment.
  • Manage manufacturing capacity, communicating risk and opportunities within the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Define inventory policies for Cycle Stock (expected to be sold based on demand forecasts) and Safety Stock (to meet excess demand or protect against delayed shipments from your suppliers).
  • Monitor, track, and report on the delivery of the supply and inventory plans on a weekly basis.
  • Execute plans for new products and product changes by interacting with Demand Planning, Marketing and Sales.
  • Facilitate the continuous improvement of the On-time-in-full (OTIF) process, ensuring customers receive accurate orders. Proactively identify major issues and opportunities around supply and take ownership to drive quantifiable solutions and positive business results.
  • Lead the Supply Review throughout the Integrated Business Planning Process (IBP). Participates in the Demand Control meetings.
  • Prepare the Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) analysis and review production capacity with Operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 5 years' experience in production planning, master production scheduling, or capacity management. Experience within a validated or regulated supply chain environment preferred.  Additional experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement.
  • Knowledgeable of material requirements planning, distribution requirement planning, master production scheduling, and rough cut capacity planning.
  • Effective people management skills with the ability to engage, communicate, and ensure tasks/projects are completed according to schedule.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to neogtitate and influence others.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office. High level of proficiency using SAP.

Rewards and Benefits

The salary range for these skills is $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 based upon experience.  This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
