Let`s paint the picture of the role:

Have you ever thought of being part of a company that protects some of the world's iconic landmarks, such as the Brooklyn bridge? Or a company that helps a formula one car withstand a 540C heat with just a 25-micron thick coating? Our vision at AkzoNobel has seen us constantly embrace new ideas and develop revolutionary products to keep us at the forefront of the paint & coatings industry. We supply sustainable and innovative paints and coatings that our customers, communities and the environment are increasingly relying on. We are committedto science-based targets and taking genuine action to address globally relevant challenges and protect future generations. If you share our vision and would like to work in a young and dynamic team at one of the highestranked Dutch employers, it's time for you to apply!

You will become part of the supply planning team of 60+ highly diverse, international, and young supply chain enthusiasts from over 20+ nationalities. We are proud that diversity is one of our core values that helps us stay connected with various cultures, backgrounds, & identities. With our diverse culture, we are strongly connected by creating a shared mindset characterized as ambitious, open-minded, proactive, informal, and collaborative.

Our team develops a supply chain network that serves millions of customers. Through our vast number of suppliers, manufacturing locations, and warehouses worldwide, we manage to keep all our customers satisfied! Are you keen on being a part of a young team that makes all these networks function as smoothly as possible from the beating heart of our sustainable supply chain organization? Your potential team includes various interdependent planning functions that complement each other to satisfy all your internal and external stakeholders. Through this role, not only will you boost your capability and networks, but you will also be an essential part of Akzo Nobel’s young and significant pillar that runs most of its supply chain activities.

From our Above Market Planning hub (AMP) in Sassenheim, supply planners collaborate with main stakeholders in demand, manufacturing, logistics, procurement, as well as external suppliers to ensure a high service rate for all. Our planners make sure to integrate their top-notch supply chain abilities in setting a plan for our global sites to satisfy demand, while taking complex constraints into account.

Responsibilities

Products for Resale (PFR) Planning: you work closely with suppliers from whom we source materials that are an addition to our paint/coating portfolio, such as spray paints, paint samples and supportive materials (e.g. brushes, tape, dust masks)

Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP): you ensure the optimized distribution of products from the central warehouse towards the different warehouses across a complex global market. This requires the experience to understand market demand and customer needs in order to best divide the production plan.
