Partner with the best

The SOX Business Process Compliance Manager oversees the design, execution, and improvement of the company's SOX compliance program. This role manages the ICFR program, leads a team, collaborates with process owners, and liaises with external auditors. The manager ensures regulatory adherence, enhances internal controls, and provides strategic insights into risk management to strengthen the control environment.

As a Manager SOX Compliance and Internal Controls, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of SOX business process control testing, covering both design and operating effectiveness, while ensuring alignment with ICFR requirements
  • Reviewing and approving business process documentation, including walkthroughs, test plans, and testing workpapers, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness
  • Ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls through a risk-based approach, maintaining compliance with the COSO framework and adapting controls to evolving business and regulatory needs.
  • Managing SOX program timelines and key milestones, coordinating activities across teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Partnering closely with business process owners and external auditors, supporting control design and execution, providing documentation, and enabling maximum reliance on audit.
  • Identifying control deficiencies, assessing the financial reporting impact, and guiding effective remediation and control improvements.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Possess expertise in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, with 5+ experience in SOX compliance, audits, and ICFR exposure.
  • Demonstrate experience leading SOX programs in a public company environment, including walkthroughs, control design assessment, and review of testing documentation
  • Apply good knowledge of internal control frameworks and standards, including COSO, PCAOB requirements, and financial reporting processes.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders and external auditors to drive successful compliance outcomes.
  • Demonstrate exceptional analytical and critical-thinking abilities, showcasing keen attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and handle multiple priorities efficiently, utilizing exceptional project management, persuasive abilities, and the capacity to guide or mentor others.
