Partner with the best

You will manage established customer relationships focused on expanding use of Akamai Cloud. Join a collaborative, entrepreneurial team pioneering a newly created segment within an industry-leading companyenterprise backing with startup energy. You'll lead go-to-market strategies for Mid-Market and SMB customers, partnering with Pre-Sales, Product, and Marketing to identify opportunities, build pipeline, and close deals.

As an Account Executive II, you will be responsible for:

  • Championing Akamai's Cloud Computing vision and value proposition with Customers, Partners and internal Akamai stakeholders
  • Developing Mid-Market sales plan to meet revenue/pipeline targets for market development, lead generation, GTM & partnerships
  • Leading customer engagements that differentiate Akamai's services at all levels within Mid-Market customers
  • Developing deep understanding of the Cloud Computing, product development & go-to-market initiatives to lead in Cloud Computing

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have minimum 3+ years B2B sales experience, ideally in Cloud Services or IT Infrastructure services
  • Exhibit results-oriented, new business mind set with the ability to identify, engage & close new logo opportunities
  • Have a deep understanding of existing and developing cloud technologies
  • Have ability to collaborate with Partners & Customers to identify, create & scope sales opportunities
  • Be able to execute a sales methodology that challenges conventional thinking and creates a differentiated sales experience
  • Have Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent, Demonstrate high ethics, integrity, and personal willpower

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - The On Target Earnings (OTE, base salary + commissions) for this position ranges from $144,900 - $260,700/year; a candidate’s OTE is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
