The Instrument Maintenance Technician has the responsibility for the
operation and control of equipment used in the process of air separation; also accountability for the care and maintenance of plant mechanical, instrumentation and electrical devices and equipment.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Plant Maintenance/I&E Technician's role is to maintain and repair of the production related equipment in the Air Separation Unit such as compressors, pumps, motors, valves, gauges and vessels.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Working around High voltage Electrical equipment, compressors, pumps, motors, valves Working around cryogenic process equipment such as pumps, repair valves, replace hoses.
  • Perform basic disassembly and rebuild of mechanical equipment, changing out pumps, mechanical seals, collect vibration readings, collect oil sample, Greasing rotating equipment.
  • Perform basic low voltage electrical system maintenance, process control loop and readout calibrations.
  • Perform transmitters calibrations, replace transmitters.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance tasks and documents in the CMMS system. Remove and install motors and pumps.
  • Learning ASU Process
  • Covering shift if a situation arises.
  • Will be sharing On-Call responsibilities.
  • Assisting nearby plants during their shutdown or PM activities

Are you a MATCH?

Required Qualifications

● High school diploma
● 2 – 5 years of industrial plant / cryogenic plant experience preferred.
● Understanding of control valve functions, Instrument Calibration, Pressure Transmitter, Level Transmitter etc.
● Experience troubleshooting equipment in a plant environment
● Comfortable working in a non-air conditioned environment
● Experienced with Multimeters (Fluke Multimeters)
● Able to climb and work on heights (165 ft)
● Computer Experience, must be familiar with word, excel, power point tools.

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience with Electrical / Instrumentation equipment in a plant environment
● Candidate with a strong Mechanical background in a plant environment
