  YOUR ROLE AS A: Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic
  As a GSE Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and safety of all ground support equipment and vehicles. You will play a key role in supporting airport operations by performing inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs, ensuring all assets are serviceable, compliant, and ready to support daily flight activities.

   

  WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:

   

  ·         Complete all job cards accurately and on time in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

  ·         Attend to unscheduled equipment breakdowns and carry out repairs with minimal operational delay.

  ·         Perform routine inspections and checks on all GSE and vehicles at prescribed intervals, ensuring compliance with company standards.

  ·         Execute scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities according to the Preventive Maintenance Program and stipulated timelines.

  ·         Diagnose, repair, and service GSE and vehicle fleets in compliance with approved work specifications.

  ·         Analyze and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

  ·         Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while observing good housekeeping practices.

  ·         Respond to out-of-hours and urgent maintenance calls when required, including deployment to outstations.

  ·         Actively promote and uphold a strong “Safety First” culture across all levels of operations.

   

  WHO YOU ARE:

   

  ·         Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Auto Diesel Mechanic for light and heavy equipment.

  ·         Strong knowledge of manual and automatic transmissions; overhauling experience is an advantage.

  ·         Ability to read and understand European electrical designs and schematics is an advantage.

  ·         Experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

  ·         Knowledge of electronics and basic instrumentation is an added advantage.

  ·         Previous experience handling Ground Support Equipment (GSE) is highly desirable.

  ·         Hands-on, dependable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced operational environment.

  ·         Safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

  ·         Flexible and willing to support operations beyond normal working hours when required.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Auto Diesel Mechanic for light and heavy vehicles.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Physically fit and able to handle light to heavy workloads.

• Willing to work shifts, respond to urgent call-outs, and be deployed to outstations when required.
