As a member of the Corporate Audit & Advisory team, the Internal Auditor - Technology supports governance, risk, and controls-based audit and advisory engagements. The role focuses on cybersecurity, AI risk, cloud security, data privacy, and ITGC, combining assurance activities with strategic advisory. Leveraging analytics and continuous monitoring, the auditor provides actionable insights to management and the Audit Committee.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute risk-based audits of IT operations, processes, and systems, including AI and cloud environments.
  • Support the planning of risk-based audits for IT operations, processes, and systems (including AI and cloud).
  • Assess and monitor emerging technology risks, including cybersecurity, data privacy, and AI adoption.
  • Assess third-party/vendor risk, including contract review, onboarding, monitoring, and offboarding.
  • Utilize analytics and AI/ML tools to enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Draft findings and action plans based on root cause analysis and practical recommendations.
  • Follow up with control and process owners on remediation and implementation of recommended changes.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, opportunities, and issues.
  • Collaborate with Operational Business auditors, ERM, and Cybersecurity teams to deliver high-value assurance and advisory support.
  • Support compliance efforts, including NI 52-109, PCI-DSS and other regulatory standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and strategic advisory projects.


Required Qualifications

  • University degree in a computer-related field or other relevant discipline.
  • Professional certification (CPA, CISA, ITIL, or other relevant equivalent).
  • 1–3 years’ experience in IT assurance or IT operations management.
  • Knowledge of IT governance frameworks (COBIT, ITIL), security frameworks (NIST, PCI DSS, ISO/IEC 27001/2), and AI risk management.
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., PowerBI) and use of AI/ML platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proven analytical, planning, and organizational abilities.
  • Airline industry experience is an asset.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel nationally and internationally, sometimes on short notice.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
