What You’ll Do
As a Senior Underwriter, you will:

• Determine appropriate premiums and coverage terms based on the risk profile of the client, ensuring the insurer’s portfolio remains profitable while meeting client needs.

• Collaborate with the team and internal partners to execute strategies that ensure profitability and identify growth opportunities.

• Support financial and operational goals through accurate reporting and insightful data analysis.

• Strengthen AIG’s presence in the local market by engaging in presentations, training, and networking events.

• Manage high-profile SME and major accounts with a focus on delivering exceptional client service through innovative, technology-driven solutions.

• Embrace continuous learning to deepen your expertise across Financial Lines products and support team development.

• Drive business growth by assessing risks, underwriting new accounts, and contributing to product innovation and cross-selling initiatives.

• Uphold compliance and underwriting standards, championing best practices within the team.

Who You Are

• Holder of a Master’s degree in (Applied) Economics, Law, or equivalent experience.

• Client-focused with strong analytical skills and a commitment to delivering quality service ‘right the first time.’

• Courteous, empathetic, and collaborative, fostering a positive team environment

• Resilience and able to thrive in a busy, dynamic setting

• Fluent in Dutch, French, and English

• Tech-savvy with a keen interest in adopting new technologies to enhance underwriting processes is a plus
