About the Role

Lead and manage the Corporate Solutions (CS) business & financial reporting matters towards effective monitoring and achievement of business targets, and in providing insightful information to management on reporting of financial KPIs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The position is responsible for all aspects of supporting the business’s management reporting to internal stakeholders on the followings:

  • Lead and guide the entire Reporting team in supporting the monthly closing activities and providing insightful analysis on business KPIs and produce effective tracking of Actual results vs Last year and Budget.
  • Lead the Reinsurance (“RI”) portfolio with the team in managing the Statement of Account preparations, monthly booking of RI provisions, handling of pooling partners' enquiries on captive confirmation of pricing renewals, etc.
  • Drive and track the planned IT enhancements to enable ANP & VONB recognition for LIG business target is met by delivering the identified reporting requirements to management on daily dashboard reporting and in ensuring accuracy of LIG reporting to Local and Group office.
  • Play a forward-looking business partner role in providing insightful analysis & forecast on key financial ratios such as TWPI, EP, COR and persistency in proactively tracking of the business KPIs and take charge in initiating measures to meet target.
  • Proactively support the business profitability in driving the "right" spend of GOE and MME budget for business needs and yet at the same time managing the targeted GOE and VEA ratio to avoid VONB true down from expense overruns.
  • Lead and drive the revamping of the current RI process and system for a more efficient data extraction & preparation to enable delivery of a sustainable way in reporting of RI numbers.
  • Strong advocator for leaning the current process by promoting a change mindset within the Reporting and RI team to be always on the lookout for enhancement/automation opportunities in the team’s day-to-day work to drive work efficiencies.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance or Accountancy.
  • Minimum 8 years of working experience in related industry.
  • Self-motivated, committed and possess initiatives to drive changes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment as well as the flexibility to work the extra hours needed to meet deadlines if necessary.
  • High proficiency in using spreadsheets, MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
  • Independent and strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
