About the Role

As a key senior team member, the Management Reporting & Analytics, Senior Principal will lead the delivery of timely and high-quality management reports for local Management and Group Office. This role is a critical contributor to strategic financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis to support business decision-making. The position also drives initiatives to enhance management reporting and analytical capabilities, providing actionable insights to the business.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of financial acumen and transformation experience within the life insurance or broader financial services industry.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Budgeting

  • Lead and support annual strategic planning, budgeting, and regular forecasting
  • Act as a business partner to establish financial targets aligned with company strategy
  • Provide insights and financial advice to business functions in preparing plans and budgets, ensuring relevance for senior management review and approval
  • Drive continuous enhancement of business planning processes

Forecasting, Management Reporting & Analysis

  • Lead and improve regular forecasting cycles to ensure timely and accurate financial projections
  • Challenge channel forecasts and budgets from a Financial Management perspective
  • Monitor and analyse key financial KPIs; propose new leading indicators to identify trends and variances proactively
  • Ensure internal reporting aligns with Group Office requirements
  • Shape effective communication for executive-level reporting

Analytical Capabilities & Continuous Improvement

  • Act as a constructive challenger, leading initiatives to enhance analytical capabilities and mindset within the team
  • Advocate technology adoption for greater efficiency and improved decision-making impact

Leadership & Team Development

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior finance staff, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Conduct performance reviews and develop high-potential talent
  • Allocate resources effectively to deliver on multiple priorities
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and Group requirements

Ad Hoc Projects & Business Support

  • Lead or support special projects, financial reviews, and business case evaluations as assigned by senior leadership
  • Serve as a key liaison between the team and local / Group functions, promoting best practices

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • University graduate and member of a recognized professional accounting body
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in financial management, preferably in life insurance or financial services
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proven leadership, supervisory, and communication skills
  • Effective coaching and people management abilities
  • Ability to work independently with strong self-initiation
