Job Description

AHRC New York City is looking to hire multiple individuals for Snow Removal/ Porter positions throughout the Five Boroughs. Person must have the ability to respond immediately to snow storms in all boroughs:

Seasonal Snow Removal/Porter

Pay Rate:
• $23.98 per hour with time and a half ($35.97/hour) for All weekend hours and any hours worked over 8 in one day.

Job Description:
Must be reliable Seasonal Snow Removal Porters to assist with snow and ice management during winter weather events. This role is critical to maintaining safe and accessible properties during snowstorms.

Key Responsibilities:
• Snow shoveling and ice removal
• Salting and de-icing walkways, entrances, and common areas
• Supporting snow removal operations as needed during storms

Additional Opportunities:
• Potential for additional hours covering porter shifts when regular staff are out sick or on vacation, based on availability

 

Qualifications

Requirements:
• Must be able to report to work during snowstorms, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to perform physical work in cold and inclement weather
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused
