About this role
Overview
Performs custodial duties in an indoor setting as assigned by the supervisor.
Responsibilities
Primary duties and responsibilities unclude but not limited to:
- Performs assigned tasks at cleaning sites including but not limited to carpet cleaning, stripping, waxing and buffing.
- Assists in moving supplies and equipment as needed.
- Notifies supervisor of problems/difficulties in performing job duties.
- Monitors inventory of supplies and notifies team leader when the need for replenishment arises.
- Notifies team leader if equipment is not working properly.
- Performs additional related duties as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Must have at least six months prior porter cleaning experience or completion of ACCES –VR porter training program.
- Ability to perform medium to heavy manual labor; ability to understand instructions given by supervisor.
- Has some training in use of commercial cleaning equipment.
- Carpet cleaning, stripping, waxing and buffing experience required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must have a qualified NYS driver’s license.
