About this role

Overview

Under the direction of the department manager or designee, performs interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to ensure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients. Participates in technical duties directly envolved with the CT scanner including developing, initiating, training and monitoring procedures for the effective utilization of this unit as well as other portable and stationary X-ray units within the department.

Responsibilities

This individual will perform in the capacity of CT / Radiology Technologist. To perform all required special procedures in the radiology department, operating specialized equipment; as well as routine diagnostic procedures providing quality radiographic images.

Qualifications

Minimum education. A.A degree in Radiology Technology or equivalent approved A.M.A. program. One to three years of radiologic expereince and special procedures experience preferred. One year minimum experience in performing CT or previous acute hospital experience preferred. Experience with care for all age groups as neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatrics. Required Licenses/Certifications: CRT License and Fluoroscopy Permit. Valid California state certification license in unlimited diagnostic radiology services. ARRT License required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate. CT Certification preferred.
