We are looking for a Warehouse Worker/Truck Driver in Le Sueur, Minnesota.

What this role is all about:

The Semi Driver (Warehouse Truck Driver) drives and delivers product. This position also loads and unloads trucks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain load manifests and all other vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.

  • Safely operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment as needed.

  • Inspect company vehicle for visual defects when the vehicle is not running and operating defects when the vehicle is running; complete a daily inspection report per DOT rules.

  • Comply with all DOT hours of service and rules of the road.

  • Deliver merchandise to the appropriate location using the company vehicle; ensuring delivery receipt is signed by the receiver.

  • Prepare, stage, load and unload trucks safely and accurately.

  • Keep truck and trailer clean and swept.

  • Fill out all logs accurately and submit to the proper people.

  • Report any issues with equipment to manager or supervisor.

  • Understand and comply with all Quality Assurance policies, immediately reporting any potential food safety issues to management.

  • Keep daily truck logs.

  • Perform general maintenance of trucks.

  • Take trucks in for inspection, service and maintenance.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Safety Protocol

    • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.

    • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.

    • Support safety policies and programs.

Qualifications:

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience driving a truck and backing a trailer required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating a forklift required.
  • Experience backing a trailer into a dock required.
  • Good mechanical aptitude required.
  • Slip Sheet Unit/Powerlift Jack operation preferred.

Certification/Licensure Required:

  • Class A CDL with airbrake/tanker endorsement required.
  • Clean driving record required.
  • Medical Examiner Certification to drive truck required.

Skills Required:

  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
  • Communicate well both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently.
  • Dedication to meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; acts with customers in mind.
  • Ability to solve problems by adapting knowledge and experience.
  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.

Where you’ll be working:

  • Our presence in Le Sueur, MN, consists of the following locations: Le Sueur Cheese, Le Sueur Ingredients, and the Le Sueur Protein Research Center.

  • Our cheese facility produces various types of cheese, including cheddar, Monterey Jack, Asiago, Fontina, Parmesan and Romano. Our ingredients facility runs various whey streams, including; whey protein isolate (WPI), whey protein concentrate 34 (WPC 34), whey protein concentrate 80 (WPC 80) and both pharma and food-grade lactose.

  • Agropur’s US operations produce 1 billion pounds of quality, award-winning cheese each year. We create more than 20 different varieties, and also provide whey protein and dry ingredients which are by-products of the cheesemaking process.
