What this role is about:
Work in various areas of plant operations including milk receiving, cheese make, drying, packaging, shipping, waste water treatment, etc.
Learn as much about the Agropur business model and how to run an efficient, large-scale, dairy manufacturing plant.
Actively meet and speak with plant employees to learn the various aspects and responsibilities of their jobs.
Work on projects to improve employee, process and plant efficiencies.
Learn to successfully troubleshoot equipment for electrical and mechanical systems different areas of the plant.
Take direction on assignments and then work autonomously or with appropriate team(s) to accomplish assignment objectives.
Acquire current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments and applicable laws related to Maintenance in a dairy manufacturing environment.
Actively meet and speak with Maintenance employees to learn the various aspects and responsibilities of their jobs.
Present a summary of projects and lessons learned at end of internship, if applicable.
What we're looking for:
Currently enrolled in an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s program in a Dairy Science, Diary Manufacturing, Engineering, or related program as a candidate for graduation.
Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.
Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
