What’s involved in the Machine Operator role:
This position of General Relief will assist the facility in day to day operations:
Working varied shifts
Running different machines involved in milk production
Take inventory on request
Perform any other tasks related to this position
Machine setup
Coordinating production run with packaging and ingredients
Hand packing production
Build / stack production
Cleanup and changeovers
Machine operation
Requirements:
Candidates must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts (days, afternoons, night shift).
Work schedule could be 5 x 8 hour shifts OR 4 x 10 hour shifts per week at our 24/7 facility. You need to be available to work a combination of days, nights, and graveyard shifts and schedules will vary week to week.
What you need to join our team:
Applicants must be willing and able to work all shifts at our 24/7 facility.
High school graduate or equivalent
Ability to read, write and do basic math
Availability to work all shifts (day, afternoon, graveyard)
Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and nights
Ability to follow standard operational procedures and work in a safe manner
Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Strong customer service orientation
Previous work experience in food production is not required but is considered an asset.
Qualifications:
Dairy Worker License considered an asset
A good personal attendance record
A good personal safety record
Proven problem solving and decision-making skills
Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and as a team member
Ability to multitask and to coordinate his efforts with the other pasteurizers
Must have good written and oral communication skills
Previous experience maintaining production, quality and safety documentation
Proven ability of effectively using down time for servicing of production equipment
Mechanical aptitude
Proven ability to maintain a safe and clean workplace
Self-directed and enthusiastic work attitude
Perform all other tasks as assigned by management
