Quality Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Engineer’s primary responsibility is to fabricate quality solutions and establish methods and systems to ensure product quality and specifications are maintained.

• Review, contain, and resolve issues of non-conforming product
• Promote and improve quality and safety of processes and products
• Participate in Quality APQP and AIAG processes
• Facilitate quality resolution between the customer and internal parties
• Lead, implement, and communicate corrective actions timely and effectively
• Drive actions to achieve company targets related to PPMs
• Create and maintain procedures for the quality management system
• Monitor statistical process controls

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical environment requires the employee to work in a manufacturing and office environment. The employee must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment. Occasional travel may be required.

Centrally located in the Midwest, our 350,000 square foot facility includes (21) accumulator head extrusion machines ranging in size from 5# to 100# shot capacity, and (6) multi-layer continuous co-extrusion machines producing gasoline tanks from 1 gallon to 50 gallon liquid fuel capacity.
Our non-automotive fuel tank production capabilities include mono-layer HDPE for diesel and multi-layer continuous co-extrusion for gasoline tank applications, providing barrier properties to meet evolving EPA & CARB fuel vapor emissions standards.
