<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">We are seeking a <strong>Senior</strong> <strong>Product Compliance Engineer</strong> with a strong focus on <strong>machinery and robotics</strong> to ensure our products meet all applicable regulatory and safety requirements. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding products from design through market launch, ensuring conformity across global markets with a focus on CE marking requirements and relevant EU directives.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">You will work closely with mechanical, electrical, system and software engineering teams to embed compliance into product development while supporting risk assessment, technical documentation, and certification activities.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">This is a remote-friendly role with a preference for candidates located near our offices in either San Francisco Bay Area or Salem, OR for in-person collaboration, meetings, and events.</span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;">About the Work</span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Lead CE conformity assessments for machinery and robotic systems in accordance with EU regulations</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Interpret and apply relevant directives and regulations, including but not limited to:</span></li>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Machinery Directive / Machinery Regulation (2006/42/EC / EU 2023/1230)</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Low Voltage Directive (LVD)</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">EMC Directive</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Radio Equipment Directive (RED), where applicable</span></li>
</ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Perform and review risk assessments in accordance with <strong>ISO 12100</strong></span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Ensure compliance with relevant harmonized standards (e.g., EN ISO 13849, EN IEC 62061, EN 60204-1, ISO 10218)</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Support the creation and maintenance of <strong>Technical Files</strong>, including:</span></li>

<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">User manuals and safety instructions</span></li>

<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Coordinate and support testing activities (EMC, electrical safety)</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Interface with Notified Bodies, test laboratories, and regulatory authorities as required</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Provide compliance guidance during product design reviews and change management</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Monitor regulatory updates and assess impact on existing and future products</span></li>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>About You</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field)</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">5+ years of experience in CE compliance for machinery, automation, or robotics</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Strong knowledge of EU CE marking requirements and conformity assessment procedures</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Hands-on experience with risk assessment and safety-related control systems</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and product teams</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills</span></li>

<li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">This role requires the ability to complete the following physical activities in warehouse-like environments:</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Move yourself in different positions to accomplish tasks while stooping and holding 10lbs.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Remain in a stationary position frequently, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. <br>Adjust or move objects up to 50lbs. in all directions.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Able to work in various positions / environments including overhead reaching, kneeling, crawling, twisting and stretching on dusty concrete floors, rubber mats and steel.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Routinely required to; talk and hear; use hands to touch, feel, handle, push/pull and move objects; see details of objects that are less than a few feet away; see differences between colors, shades, and brightness.</span></li>
