About this role

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented engineer to join the India Field Service Center (IFSC) in Manesar. In this role, you will deliver hands-on technical support and service for our product portfolio, resolving customer issues efficiently and cost-effectively, while implementing preventive measures to ensure lasting customer satisfaction and success. This is an on-site role at the India Field Service Center (IFSC) in Manesar.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Perform repair and refurbishment of supported instruments, modules and parts.
•    Conduct functional testing of repaired or refurbished equipment in accordance with factory standards.
•    Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and checklists for all repair, testing and refurbishment activities.
•    Apply advanced technical expertise across a range of instruments, systems and solutions and regularly serving as a technical resource for internal and external team.
•    Respond to technical inquiries from internal and external customers, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
•    Contribute to technical projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and operational efficiency.
•    Maintain workstations and test stations, including daily housekeeping and ensure all calibration tools are valid and qualified.
•    Accurately and promptly record repair data and information using reporting systems (e.g., SAP CRM, internal dashboards, etc).
•    Engage in continuous learning including technical and soft skills, through classroom, practical or computer-based training.
•    Collaborate with team members, engineers, coordinators, supervisors and managers to support daily Field Service Center operations.
•    Develop and sustain effective working relationships across departments to support organizational objectives.
•    Contribute to ongoing improvements in daily operations to better serve customers and work more efficiently.
•    Perform routine and non-routine testing, troubleshooting, repairs and quality checks on Agilent instruments, often independently with minimal supervision.
•    Evaluate test data and verify instrument functionality while adhering to Quality System standards, safety, cleanliness and ESD protocols.
•    Adapt effectively to change, demonstrating openness to new ideas, responsibilities, and job assignments or rotations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent in engineering or a related technical field.

  • Typically, at least 4+ years of relevant experience for entry to this level.

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with Agilent LC, GC, LCMS and GCMS instruments.

  • Hands-on experience in repair, maintenance or testing of instruments is essential.

  • Ability to work independently and proactively. Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.

  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage technical queries effectively.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, demonstrate urgency and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.

  • Good understanding of the service business, drive for results and the ability to make timely and sound decisions while keeping the customer in mind.

  • Proficiency with reporting tools or systems (e.g. SAP CRM, SAP ECC) is an advantage.

  • Strong communication skills and willingness to continuously learn.

  • Excellent command of English, with fluency in both English and the local language.

This job has a full time weekly schedule.
