Qualifications

The Role

Agilent is developing a unified, AI-enabled enterprise software platform to serve as the digital backbone of its next-generation instruments, workflows, and services. As Head of Product Management for the Productivity Solutions Division (PSD), you will be responsible for defining the product vision, setting the strategic direction, and driving end-to-end lifecycle management of this enterprise platform.

This leadership role establishes and scales product management as a core enterprise capability within PSD. You will ensure that customer needs, business objectives, and technical strategy translate into a coherent roadmap and a clear execution plan. You will lead a global team of product managers and collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Architecture, Quality, and Business stakeholders to deliver differentiated, scalable software products that power Agilent’s future.

Key Responsibilities

Product Vision & Strategy

  • Define and own the product vision and strategy for the Instrument Software across all of Agilent.
  • Translate customer needs, market insights, and business priorities into a coherent, outcome-driven product roadmap.
  • Ensure alignment between product strategy, enterprise software strategy, and execution plans.

Roadmap Management

  • Own product roadmaps across platform, shared services, and core capabilities, balancing near-term delivery with long-term scalability.
  • Drive prioritization decisions across competing demands, using clear value, risk, and dependency frameworks.
  • Partner with Strategy and Engineering leaders to ensure roadmaps are feasible, sequenced, and well-resourced.

Product Execution & Lifecycle

  • Establish best-in-class product management practices across the full lifecycle - from discovery through launch and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure strong product ownership from concept through adoption, including success metrics and customer outcomes.
  • Drive tight collaboration between product managers and engineering teams to accelerate delivery and reduce rework.

Organizational Leadership

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing, global product management organization.
  • Standardize product management tools, templates, and operating rhythms across teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, customer-centricity, and outcome-driven execution.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 7+ years  of progressive leadership experience in product management for enterprise or platform software.
  • Deep understanding of the laboratory instrument software ecosystem, such as Chromatography Data Systems (CDS), mass spectrometry software, imaging/cell analysis platforms, or other workflow-critical scientific software.
  • Proven experience owning and scaling complex software products across on-prem, cloud, or hybrid environments.
  • Strong track record partnering with engineering, architecture, and business leaders.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $232,032.00 - $362,550.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
