Position: IT Application Specialist - Bilingual

Role Summary: The IT Application Specialist provides first and second level technical advice, support, and training to current and new users. In addition, the IT Application Specialist will provide support to internal users and external customers experiencing difficulties with the network, computer hardware, computer applications, and communications software.  
 
Education:

  • Completed post-secondary education in computer science or information systems from a recognized Canadian Institute, or its equivalent.
  • Appropriate certifications in IT functions and latest technology including relevant applications

Experience:

  • Minimum of three to five years related experience in technical support or other related field
  • Experience working with Voice over IP (VoIP) systems
  • Extensive experience in excellent customer service
  • Experience working with databases

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work with people, and explain concepts quickly, simply, and thoroughly; and troubleshoot technical problems.
  • Experience with documenting procedures. 
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook) 
  • Professional and friendly communication style (telephone, e-mail, and in person)
  • Proficiency in a multi-task and multi-need environment
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills including data entry skills
  • Able to follow through on projects and required daily tasks
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is mandatory

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of computer networks, hardware, and office equipment
  • General office procedures 
  • Use of office equipment including multi-line telephone systems

Hours: Various shifts within the hours of operation. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 6:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. EST. Flexibility required.

Travel: Occasional travel may be required to travel within or outside of regular working hours to attend meetings and/or events.

Poste: Spécialiste des applications TI (technologies de l’information) - Bilingue

Sommaire du rôle: Le ou la spécialiste des applications TI fournit des conseils techniques ainsi qu’un soutien de premier et de deuxième niveau, ainsi que de la formation aux utilisateurs actuels et nouveaux. De plus, le ou la spécialiste des applications TI offrira un soutien aux utilisateurs internes et aux clients externes éprouvant des difficultés avec le réseau, le matériel informatique, les applications informatiques et les logiciels de communication.

Formation :

  • Diplôme d’études postsecondaires en informatique ou en systèmes d’information d’un établissement canadien reconnu, ou l’équivalent.
  • Certifications appropriées dans les fonctions TI et les technologies les plus récentes, incluant les applications pertinentes.

Expérience :

  • Minimum de trois à cinq ans d’expérience pertinente en soutien technique ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • Expérience de travail avec des systèmes Voix sur IP (VoIP).
  • Solide expérience en service à la clientèle.
  • Expérience de travail avec des bases de données. 

Compétences requises :

  • Capacité à travailler avec les gens et à expliquer des concepts rapidement, simplement et clairement, ainsi qu’à résoudre des problèmes techniques.
  • Expérience dans la documentation de procédures.
  • Maîtrise avancée de Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Style de communication professionnel et amical (téléphone, courriel et en personne).
  • Capacité à travailler dans un environnement multitâche et à besoins multiples.
  • Solides compétences administratives et organisationnelles, incluant la saisie de données.
  • Capacité à mener à terme les projets et les tâches quotidiennes requises.
  • Le bilinguisme (anglais/français) est obligatoire.

Connaissances :

  • Solide compréhension des réseaux informatiques, du matériel informatique et de l’équipement de bureau.
  • Connaissance des procédures générales de bureau.
  • Utilisation de l’équipement de bureau, incluant les systèmes téléphoniques multilignes

Horaires : Diverses équipes dans le cadre des heures d'ouverture. Les heures d'ouverture sont du lundi au vendredi de 6 h 30 à 20 h 00 HNE. Flexibilité requise.  

Déplacements : Des déplacements occasionnels peuvent être nécessaires pour assister à des réunions ou à des événements pendant ou en dehors des heures de travail normales.
