About the Role:
As a Yard Jockey for Agile Cold Storage, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facility's yard. You will be responsible for moving trailers and containers within the yard, ensuring they are properly positioned for loading and unloading. Your attention to detail and safety will be critical in preventing accidents and delays. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of trailer movements and ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures. This position is for 2nd shift; 2:30 PM - 11PM.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class A license is preferred but not required
- At least 1 year of experience operating a yard tractor or similar equipment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate effectively with Operations and Customer Service to ensure containers are moved to the correct locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a transportation or warehousing environment
- Familiarity with log keeping
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Move trailers and containers within the yard using a yard tractor or similar equipment
- Ensure trailers and containers are properly positioned for loading and unloading
- Maintain accurate records of trailer movements
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Skills:
As a Yard Jockey, you will need to have strong attention to detail and safety awareness to ensure the efficient and safe movement of trailers and containers within the yard. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with other team members and management. Additionally, you will need at least 1 year of experience operating a yard tractor or similar equipment. Familiarity with log keeping is preferred but not required. This position is for 2nd shift; 2:30 PM - 11PM

Monday - Friday
2nd Shift - 2:30PM to 11:00PM.
40 Hours/Week
Overtime available if approved by management.
