We’re recruiting for the Storekeeper who will be responsible for the efficient management of spare parts, fuel-related materials, tools, and consumables required for the operation and maintenance of the diesel power plant. The role ensures proper inventory control, safe storage, timely issuance of materials, and accurate record-keeping to support uninterrupted plant operations.

What you’ll do:
- Supervise daily store operations, including receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of materials and spare parts.
- Maintain optimal stock levels of critical diesel engine spares, lubricants, filters, tools, and consumables.
- Ensure all materials received meet quality, quantity, and specification requirements.
- Implement and monitor inventory control systems to minimize shortages, overstocking, and losses.
- Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and procurement teams to plan material requirements.
- Prepare stock reports, inventory summaries, and reconciliation statements regularly.
- Conduct periodic physical stock counts and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure proper labeling, preservation, and safe storage of materials, especially hazardous items such as oils, fuels, and chemicals.
- Enforce compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies within the store area.
- Support audits by providing accurate documentation and inventory records.
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
- Qualified artisan in accordance with local labour laws
- Proven experience (2–5 years) in storekeeping or inventory supervision, preferably in a power plant, industrial, or heavy-equipment environment.
- Knowledge of diesel power plant operations and spare parts is an advantage.
- Strong inventory management and organizational skills.
- Good knowledge of storekeeping procedures and materials handling.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and MS Office applications.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
