About this role

The Human Resource Business Partner supports daily HR operations, including recruiting, onboarding, employee and labor relations, and payroll backup. This role also provides guidance to managers and employees while assisting with HR programs, policies, and compliance activities.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads full cycle recruiting including posting, interview coordination, and onboarding.
  • Maintains relationships with the Union and ensures employee treatment aligns with company values.
  • Manages employee relation issues, including complaints, grievances, counseling, and investigations
  • Address complex industrial relations matters promptly and effectively.
  • Supports development and delivery onboarding and employe programs.
  • Provides consultation to managers and employees on HR policies and employee relations.
  • Contributes to the development and upkeep of the Policy Manuals.
  • Supports the performance appraisal process.
  • Serves as back up for Payroll processing.
  • Assists with HR audits.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field. 
  • Human Resource certification preferred
  • Five to Seven years’ previous experience in employee and industrial relations. 
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Solid knowledge of HR policies, employment legislation, and HR best practices.
  • High attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access office machinery and accomplish tasks.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Constantly operates a computer, keyboard, copier, printer, and other office productivity machinery.
  • Occassional travel between Thorndale and Exton sites.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.
