What is the Opportunity?

The Data Operations Specialist will support and enhance the data infrastructure that powers our enterprise AI solutions. This intermediate-level role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in data systems and a strong interest in enabling AI technologies through secure, scalable, and well-governed data environments.

What You’ll Do Here:

• Maintain and optimize enterprise data storage systems including various Azure & AWS storage services, SharePoint, OneDrive, Dataverse, Microsoft Graph-connected services, and storage in SaaS applications.
• Prepare and manage unstructured data (e.g., PDFs, Word documents, RFPs) for AI use cases such as Copilot and generative models.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring data governance policies and system-level access controls.
• Contribute to the design and upkeep of secure data zones for AI tools, data reporting, and analytics.
• Support the organization and maintenance of metadata, vector databases, data warehouses, and lakehouses.
• Collaborate with data owners to manage permissions and ensure proper access across teams.
• Help integrate external data sources (e.g., AWS, third-party APIs) into Microsoft’s AI ecosystem.
• Collaborate with Security, Solutions, and Infrastructure teams to identify and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans and procedures.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Post secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in data operations, cloud services, or enterprise data management.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft cloud platforms and data governance principles.
• Experience working with unstructured data and metadata management.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their data requirements.

 Preferred qualifications:

• Exposure to vector databases and semantic search technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot or similar AI tools.
• Basic knowledge of external cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.

The expected pay range for this opportunity is $81,500-$95,000
