About this role

AdvisaCare is seeking Top of the Line Respiratory Therapists in the Grand Rapids, MI and surrounding areas. With dedication and hard work, we deliver Skilled and Private Duty care in various settings for a diverse patient group. Our staff are committed to providing professional care to each of our patients ensuring their lives are enhanced by our involvement. Our goal is to safely transition the patient from a hospital setting to their home while improving their quality of life!!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage records, complete necessary paperwork, and perform patient assessments
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to educate and administer all aspects of respiratory therapy including mechanical ventilation
  • Participate in training and transitioning of the patient from a facility to the home setting.
  • Comply with all policies and standards of safety and infection control.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a courteous and customer-focused manner in accordance with Advisacares standards of practice.

PRN Visits availableExperience with ventilators and tracheostomy required!
  • Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
  • Licensed through the state of Michigan as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
  • Knowledge of modern principles, methods, materials, and equipment
  • Knowledge of possible hazards to patients and appropriate precautions
  • Minimum of 1 year Respiratory Therapy experience
  • Problem Solving Skills and Ability to Multitask
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Work in a Team Responsibly and Independently
  • Compassionate with Good Communication Skills
  • Ability to Pass Drug Screen/Clear Background
