Job Description

Senior Data Analyst 

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high quality analytical solutions across enterprise systems. This role sits within the Data & Analytics team under IT and bridges business requirements with technical execution. The analyst ensures data reliability, develops scalable models and dashboards, and supports cross-functional partners with accurate, timely insights. 

 

This position is 4 days in office, 1 day remote per week, based at our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina (North Hills) 

Core Responsibilities 

Data Engineering + Modeling (40%) 

  • Develop SQL logic for sourcing, transforming, and validating data across Snowflake, SAP BW, and WMS systems. 

  • Build reusable, standardized SQL patterns for multisite data. 

  • Partner with data architects/engineers on schema changes, ingestion updates, and pipeline reliability. 

  • Conduct deepdive data integrity audits and support rootcause analysis for upstream issues. 

Power BI Development (40%) 

  • Own semantic modeling, DAX development, and visualization for enterprise dashboards. 

  • Implement performance tuning, model compression, and DAX optimization. 

  • Build scalable KPI frameworks with consistent date logic, definitions, and lineage. 

  • Establish and enforce Power BI best practices and team standards. 

Governance & Documentation (10%) 

  • Create transparent, repeatable documentation for metrics, lineage, and data logic. 

  • Ensure BI assets meet certification, reliability, and audit-readiness standards. 

Cross-Functional Leadership (10%) 

  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, HR, and IT to define requirements. 

  • Mentor junior analysts in SQL, DAX, and data reliability practices. 

  • Serve as a technical SME who can challenge assumptions and guide data-driven decisions. 

 

Requirements:

  • Advanced to Expert SQL skills (joins, window functions, performance tuning). 

  • Strong experience with Power BI (modeling, Lakehouse, Semantic Models, DAX, best practices). 

  • Ability to design scalable analytical models and reusable Single Source of Truth Logic. 

  • Experience working with large operational datasets (WMS, OMS & Commerce, TMS, APAL, Exploris, etc.). 

  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve upstream data issues. 

  • Strong documentation discipline. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SnowSQL/TSQL, R, DAX, Power Query. 

  • Understanding of ETL Patterns, Data Materialization and SQL-based transformations. 

  • Understanding of supply chain flows (inbound, outbound, inventory). 

  • Familiarity with automation tools (Power Automate, scheduler scripts).
